Reflection

Computer Assisted Language Learning, apparently, means learning English through computers online. Such English courses can literally polish our English skill to higher level without pressure. All we have to do is just simply turn on our computers, connect to the network and then we are able to get massive information about learning English.

I could deeply feel teacher’s passion which will lead us to the gorgeous English world. Teacher has done so many things for no reason but our progress in English. We all see that. Teacher arranged where we have to sit, denominated our English name, and assigned homework to us. We have to go to the blogger of Gmail and upload our assignment every time which allows us to not only discuss with other classmates and intimate with them but enrich our blogger more. Teacher would be interacting with the students down here to make us feel the joy of speaking English and letting us go on stage sharing our homework and opinions. This class is really interesting and we really learned a lot.

Besides paper versions, there are also computer versions of English dictionary which are really prevalent these days. Learner dictionaries give students a lot of useful information about when and where to use a word or phrase through labels.

Bilingual dictionaries YahooKimo Online Dictionary、Cambridge Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, Monolingual dictionaries Cambridge Advanced Learner’s Dictionary、Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, Business Dictionary for example Cambridge, etc. Dictionary can be done a lot of things. We normally use it to look up words, learn how to use them in the pertinent situation and learn many related knowledge, idioms, synonyms, and grammas. I realized those dictionaries that we usually didn’t like to use contain so much knowledge. So it increases my interest of learning words.

I’m always bad at speaking English. I didn’t learn well in English, so I’ve always wanted to enhance my English speaking skill. However, due to my introverted personality, I’ve been really afraid of speaking English to others. Eventually, I found a pretty awesome way to solve my problem. That is “My ET”. It is a web-based program employing automatic speech analysis system (ASAS) to identify the words spoken into the recording device, and it can analyze the speech on pronunciation, pitch, timing and emphasis. We are able to learn the precise pronunciation by native speaker teacher on this online platform. Later on when we practice a lot and record ourselves, the online system will analyze our records and tell us our drawback. With the analysis, we could improve our oral and fluency.  

To me, English course is just a course which I’ll get rid of them after I pass. It doesn’t really attract me at all. But I know keep going learning English is necessary and lots of methods to accept it. I hope it could become a part of my life.

        Letting English become a part of my life could not be very easy. So here is my plan of keeping learning English in an interesting way. First of all, I would like to grab my friends to watch American TV shows together like The Walking Dead, Constantine, and The Voice. Secondly, I love reading novel especially adventure and thrill genre. So I would find those novels in English version to read. And finally, increasing my English vocabulary is more important than any others. To do so, I would download a mobile phone app called “yi bei memorizing vocabulary”. I heard it is very popular with the students who want to no matter enhance their English vocabulary or their listening in mainland China. This app has the most powerful magic to make us memorizing words. It’ll test us all the time while remembering words without pressure. So I could learn the words on the app unconsciously. That’s pretty worth using the app. You might wondering what makes me want to keep learning English. I think the answer would be that I want to work in foreign corporations or even go abroad to explore the world and get along with people outside Taiwan. Couldn’t they be more interesting? In conclusion, let me go on this incredible journey with the passion of learning English.

They gave us full of love, hope we have a good growing environment, develop good values and have a better and brighter future, they do not seek back pay.

New Year, is the relatives of people happy, eat dinner around the large table, a good chat with distantly. So the New Year is always full of joy, and our family has always been the case.

But in the New Year eve, happened the fact that I can not accept up to now, and this fact has changed our family, my father was diagnosed with acute leukemia.

Since I’m little, he always model in my mind, for me, he just like Superman, able to do anything, to protect the safety of our family, even can bring the whole family laugh.

But now he is feeble, and resistance with serious illness every day, this was the closest he've been to facing death, we will give him a lot of hope, and I hope he can feeling us love him more and more, I will give him a lot of hope.

1. it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could ever happened to me. The heaviness of being successful  was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods in my life.

Commute:

Correspondingly

Definition: In that matches or is connected with something that you have just mentioned

Example: a period of high demand and correspondingly high prices

Disruption

Definition :a situation in which it is difficult for something to continue in the normal way; the act of stopping something from continuing in the normal way

Example: We aim to help you move house with minimum disruption to yourself.

Reinforce

Definition:

l   reinforce something to make a feeling, an idea, etc. stronger

l   reinforce something to make a structure or material stronger, especially by adding another material to it

l   reinforce something to send more people or equipment in order to make an army, etc. stronger

Example: Success in the talks will reinforce his reputation as an international statesman.

Switch

Definition:

l   a small device that you press or move up and down in order to turn a light or piece of electrical equipment on and off

l   a change from one thing to another, especially when this is sudden and complete

l   (North American English) the points on a railway/railroad line

l   a thin stick that bends easily

Example: She made the switch from full-time to part-time work when her first child was born.

Oxford,the learner’s dictionary provide not only the word’s meaning and grammar that not use difficult character and be clear about but also many practical sentence that more deepen impression by user.

When I was kid, I was pretty shy.

During my growth, I have met many new friends, expand my vision and became more cheerful.

I like hang out with friends, go to the movies

I like the feeling of freedom, to travel, to know different culture, to experience new things, eat food from other countries.

As a normal girl I like to shopping, sometimes I like to take a break in some coffee shop and have conversation with friends, I can talk for hours and I will not get tired, I really like to talk, to be aware of their recent situation.

Now I am not afraid of the crowd and I hope I can keep expanding my vision and see the world.
